Tips and Advice for Tennis Court Maintenance:
You're Only as Good as Your Tennis Court!

By Doug Grant - Tennis Court Specialist
You can only play as well as your opponent lets you. I was told this many times as a junior. The same applies for the condition of your tennis court. If courts are neglected, nature has a way of taking over. Court growth, ground movement, dust, sun, wind and rain all contribute to breaking down your court surface. Make sure you regularly maintain the condition of your court. Check your tennis court regularly, look for coating wear, cracks or growth on acrylic courts. Synthetic grass need the sand infill clean, correct height and don’t let the sand get crusty. Clay courts needs the top layer kept level with lines and well above drainage layers underneath. Looking after the tennis court surface means a better game of tennis and is cheaper on the hip pocket long term.
