Tennis Lesson Plan for a Group Warm-up
By David Horne - The twist to this warm-up is that it allows for the players who show up at various times. Not every player will show up on time for a group lesson so you need to be prepared to be flexible. The ideal number of players on the court for a group drill is obviously four players. However, all coaches know that there is always that "unpredictability" when it comes to who will and won't show up on time for a team drill session. You will always want a game plan as to what you will focus on for that day with a few pre-planned drills but you must be prepared for a change in the numbers. Click here for Tennis Lesson Plan >>>>

For club level coaches most of your morning coaching sessions will be devoted to ladies groups. As a result you are constantly being challenged to come up with new and exciting drills. I always like to have a theme for each lesson as this helps the group to understand what they are working on and the purpose of the drills.
