THE COURT SURFACES ISSUE
After Rafael Nadal achieved the rare Wimbledon - French Open double this year, GSC takes a look at the different court surfaces in this months newsletter:-
- how they play
- how they influence player development, and
- how to prepare to play on the different surfaces.
While Nadal's effort is superb, it is not quite as amazing as Bjorn Borg's Wimbledon - French triumphs. The Wimbledon courts today are immaculate except for some scuffing on the baseline; and by using the slower balls the tournament can barely be called a fast court any longer.
How would the great Wimbledon champions of the previous era; McEnroe, Becker, Edberg, Rafter, Ivanisevic and Henman have coped with the conditions and Rafa's sublime baseline game?
Enjoy!!!
We hope you enjoy the newsletter and please keep the feedback coming in, we want to hear what you think of the web site and what you would like to see more of. Send feedback to admin@globalsportscoaching.com

Federer has to improve his own game and concede that Nadal and Djokovic have moved passed him, especially in the baseline exchanges...read the match review>>>
